Teenagers execution prompts UN call for halt to death penalty in Iran
United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Skye Lee Valdez, age 20, of Mission, South Dakota, appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on September 20, 2011, and pled guilty to third-degree burglary and aiding and abetting. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 10 years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, or both.
